George has been working in the data and voice technologies fields for over twenty-five years; he took his first Cisco class in 1995 and later obtained his CCNA; he has worked for several fortune 500 companies, including Chase, IBM, AT&T, and Citigroup.  Although his primary skills are routing and switching, he has also worked in VoIP, Wireless, and Industrial networking. Since then, he has re-certified his CCNA and has earned additional certifications; CCNA Voice, CRMS, and MCP.

Before computer networking, Ron worked in electronics and legacy telephone technologies.  With a combined experience of fifteen years while serving in the military. The troubleshooting techniques learned have allowed him to transition easily into the network technology fields.

ConfigBytes is primarily used as a repository for my writings,  about real-world experiences, not just with networking; but with all aspects of technologies. The name ConfigBytes is loosely derived from the (Integrated Chip) "IC Cookbook."
